Cologne, July 18, 2017 - kompas version 8.5 has revolutionized digital signage and has come onto the market with functions that no other software solution offers to this extent. The digital-signage software solution from dimedis integrates the smartphone into all areas, for example to administer content or monitor the players. In addition, numerous functions for the retail trade are being presented such as improved control of sales campaigns at the POS via smartphone. The new interface for the integration of queuing management systems in kompas is exciting for public authorities and offices. Thus, the integration of the MOM-3800 system produced by our partner MEM-O-MATIC has been achieved. The calls are shown next to an ongoing digital-signage program, including an optical and acoustic signal. Another highlight is the integration of livestreams:. This allows all common livestream formats to be integrated. The current playlist is interrupted and a live signal transmitted. A one-of-a-kind innovation on the market is the synchronisation of content on several screens without needing a common playlist: Content is played concurrently in a loop even on several screens at the same time – without having to play an identical playlist on every player.

Highlights of the newest kompas version 8.5

• smart.select: With smart.select, you can change content on the screen directly on the sales floor using your smartphone as soon as you place goods in a different position. This allows you to plan special offers without much effort. Do you want to promote a certain product group in the entrance area this week? No problem! Set up your goods and then log into the kompas system using your smartphone. Scan in the QR code and you are connected to the correct player. Now you can select the playlist that suits the special offer, and the content is displayed correctly straight away.
  
  
• player.sync: With the additional feature player.sync, any number of players can be combined into groups in a local network and content synchronized on the screens.
  You decide which content is to be played concurrently on these players, regardless of whether the content is identical or different. Create, for example, a video animation that is to run at a defined point of time on ten screens at once while the screens display completely individual content at other times. The spots being played concurrently are combined here into channels.

• Queuing management systems: kompas now provides you with an interface. Thus, the integration of the MOM-3800 system produced by our partner MEM-O-MATIC has been achieved. The calls are shown next to an ongoing digital-signage program, including an optical and acoustic signal. You specify the design to suit your own needs!

• Integration of livestreams: kompas offers a module which interrupts the current playlist and transmits a live signal. Whether at sporting events, concerts or conferences, with kompas your broadcasting center is on board at all times.
